Having produced five books of Gower medieval history, my thoughts turned to what next? There may be other stories to discover, but I’m not up to a lot of research at the moment. So I’ve decided to create a Box Set of the five.
The next question was the order I should put them in. You see the order in which they were written is not the order in which the events happened. In fact, Alina, The White Lady of Oystermouth, which originally caught my imagination, is chronologically the last book. I took the matter to my mailing list of fans and the choice came back that they should be in chronological order.
That raised another matter: Medieval Gower Stories is a collection of stories across a long period of time. Where to put that book? So, sticking to chronological order, I’m going to split them up and put them in between the other four books. So, what will be the order? I’m glad you asked. Here’s a rough idea:
Gower Fights Back
The Ogre of Abergavenny
Broken Reed: The Lords of Gower and King John
Starved to Death
John de Braose
Llywelyn’s Wife
The Magna Carta Story: The Layman’s Guide to the Great Charter
The Little Old Woman of Kidwelly
Swansea Miracle
The Ensanding of Pennard Castle
Alina, The White Lady of Oystermouth
The Enemy of my Enemy is my Friend
Escape from the Tower of London
Has Anyone Seen my Treasure?
