Alien Secrets is about Shom Reuel, the Altairian crewman on the Kestrel. Shom Reuel and two crewmates rescue a man after a failed mission to look for a secret weapon. Their ship is pursued and damaged. On another planet for repairs and medical treatment, the man disappears, and is rescued again. When pursuing ships are inexplicably destroyed, both Reuel and his captain struggle with the man’s identity, and the shock triggers something in Reuel that is a closely-guarded secret among his people. Can this man be trusted? How should they deal with the people hunting for him, and what should they do to protect not only the crew, but the galaxy?
